Cap: Round the head

Neck: Round the neck

Shoulder: Measure one side of the shoulder to the other on a personal shirt from the seam, where the sleeves join the shoulder

Back: One side of the sleeve to the other

Chest: Measure round the chest

Width: Measure the widest part of a personal shirt from one side to the other. Refer to diagram 2b

Sleeve length: From the seam of the sleeve to the wrist

Hip: Around the hip or measure the width of your trouser below the waist from one pocket to the other

Waist: Measure round your waist

Thigh: Measure the widest part of your thigh

Length trouser: From your waist to the floor

Inseam: From crotch to floor

Ankle: The width of the trouser around the ankle

Neck to sleeve: Refer to diagram 2c

Waist to floor: Same as trouser length

Wrist: Round the wrist

Stomach: Round the stomach. Refer to diagram 2b

Top length: Measure from neck to where the top would end, usually halfway down the thigh above the knee.

Kaftan length: Measure from neck to desired length

Knee: Measure around the knee
